ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to find out the extent of utilization of information and communication technology by business education students on the improvement of education in Bayelsa State.  The descriptive survey research design was used for the study. Four research questions were raised to guide the research. A total of 200 business education students were selected from the universities were used for the study. The data collection instrument was a 28 item questionnaire that was structured on a five point Likert type rating scale. The data was analyzed using mean and standard deviation for the four research questions. The study revealed that utilization of ICT by Business Education Students on the improvement of education in Bayelsa State used all the ICT facilities identified for the study to a small extent in classroom instructions. It was recommended, among others that open and distant education should be judiciously encouraged at this level of the educational system, Business education programmes are challenged to update their ICT laboratories and business educators should employ the necessary technical skills which would eventually lead to effective utilization of ICT facilities for improving education in Bayelsa State.
