            The lack of knowledge of the availability of some drugs in hospitals can affect the treatment of patients in hospitals. The hospital inventory management system is a system that maintains inventories of drugs, hospital accounting. It is stored in the system database, which helps the Hospital management, Staff, Doctors and Nurses in taking absolute care of the patients in the Hospital. Hospital inventory management system also involves the clinical sphere of healthcare service performance.


            The aim of this is to design and implement a hospital inventory management system, to have a database for faster and better hospital services and to store daily clinical activities. This is used in proper stock taking, ordering and re-ordering of drugs.


            In this , Java programming language was used in the implementation of the system and MySQL for the database, adequate strategies and role perception ought to be adopted by those responsible for implementing the new system.
