ABSTRACT

The main aim of this study was to find out of school facilities on the academic performance of students in Kiswahili subject in Kariaini secondary school. The study used teachers and learners of the above-mentioned school. This book is made up of five chapters. Chapter one deals with the introductory part of research. It talks about the background of the study, the theory, hypothesis, objectives, and significance of the study. This is the chapter that gives the general background of the research. Chapter two is a literature review; it gives different views of culture concerning the topic for example, the background of Kiswahili language, Kiswahili speakers, and challenges in education, among others. Chapter three deals with the research methodology it includes design, environment, respondents. Instruments, data collection procedures and satisfied treatment of data. Chapter four is presentation of the data from the field it deals with the analysis and interpretation, and finely chapter five deals with discussion, recommendation and conclusions.
