ABSTRACT This research had been carried out to investigate the challenges that face teachers handling children with hearing impairments at Kathima primary school In Meru North District, Igembe Division, Maua Zone in Kenya. The research had outlined various categories of hearing impairments as Mild, Severe and profound. It had also highlighted on the statement of the problem, purpose of the study, objectives and significance of the study, operational definitions of key terms and concepts have also been mentioned. The literature review of the persons who have mentioned about the related problems has also been acknowledged.
