BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Road accidents are a global tragedy with ever raising trend. They are common fare in our daily news as we see these accidents happen almost every day. Accidents are generally classified as single vehicle either colliding with fixed objects or multiple vehicle accidents in which two or more vehicle can collide head-on. Most people continue to be negligent and ignore the dangers involved in their driving and so, these accidents happen. Road accident can either be of vehicular or motor bike incidence. Vehicular accident occurs when a vehicle collides with another vehicle, pedestrian, animal, road debris, or other stationary obstruction such as a tree or utility pole (Wikipedia). Vehicular accident has always been attributed to human errors such as high alcoholic content in the blood stream of the driver, over speeding, wrong overtaken among others. It has also been linked to poor road network, poor surfacing of the roads, witchcraft and the death-dying nature of some of the vehicles which ply the roads.
