ABSTRACT The organization uses manual file based system and traditional file system for managing and storing data, there are problems like data redundancy and inconsistency whereby the same information are duplicated in several files. The file-based system does not allow needed data to be retrieved in a convenient and efficient manner thus difficulty in accessing data. The mentioned problems above, tailored the design of a computerized client database management system using Microsoft visual basic interface programming, Oracle I Og Edition, and E-R diagram. It shall be used to enhance the safe database storage, quick access time or system response time to user's requested task to perform, report production for quick and effective decision making, update/editing of the record, and provision of maximum security to the information in the database . UWMFO Uganda (Urib Wunu Mon for Cooperative Savings and Credit Society) started as a credit scheme (Bardege credit scheme) in 2000 basically to provide loans to women. UWMFO Uganda is located along Lagara road opposite Gulu Nile Deport. Data that was required to design the computerized system was collected using observation and interaction (interview). The research findings for the methods, was used to come up with entities, attributes, tables, relationship, and designing interfaces in VB, Oracle 1 Og which helped the researchers to choose the software development paradigmStructured Analysis Design. Further, the users were involve in the testing of the final software in order to accept that it was designed according to their requirements, and later commissioned for use. Finally, the implementation and operation of the system, it was designed to accept only those who are the privileged members to access the database from the visual interface connected to the oracle database using Microsoft ADO 6.0. Passwords and Usemames granted by an administrator are used to gain access to the database.
