ABSTRACT
 The aim of this research work is special formulation of liquid detergent for car wash. In manufacturing liquid detergents, selection of raw materials is been considered as the first step. These raw materials were selected on the basis of several factor such as human and environmental safety, cost compatibility with other ingredients and also the specific properties desired in the final products. Liquid detergent (car wash) is regarded as chemical formulation which essentially consists of surface active agent or surfactants and subsideriary constituents such as fillers, paints, glass etc. the sodium lauryl suphate was first react with ethylene glycol which formed an elastic viscous paste on addition  of water. And other additives which resulted to the special formulation of liquid detergent for car wash. The sample liquid detergent has all the properties of detergents such as solubility in water flammability emulsification and to reduced surface tension  of water.
